TAPI (ECSTA)

TAPI (Telephony Application Programming Interface) is a technology to allow applications to control telephony functions between a computer and telephony network. TAPI includes basic functions like dialling, answering and ending of call. It also supports supplementary functions like Hold, Transfer, and Conference. TAPI acts as a bridge between computer and telephone.
