Amongst the many features of the Inclarity hosted telephone system, there exists the ability to load, view and manage contact directory information to the Inclarity web portal to help you find the number you need and make your calls with a minimum of fuss.
If you already have your own contact directory or address book in another application (e.g. MS Outlook, Salesforce) then Inclarity recommends that you continue to use that data repository, and that you should allow the Inclarity phone system to access the same data using the Inclarity Integrator desktop application (for more information contact your phone system supplier).
If you do not have another repository for your contact data, then it can be loaded to the Inclarity phone system directly via the web portal. The Inclarity phone system considers 3 different types of contact record:
A list of all of your Inclarity telephone Extension users, automatically populated in real time by Inclarity.
A list of 3rd party contacts that can only be maintained and accessed by the individual Extension user (Subscriber).
A list of 3rd party contacts that can be maintained by the IT administrator, or be any nominated and which are accessible to every Extension user within the organisation.
This Contact information once loaded can be viewed and searched through the following applications:
Inclarity Phone Manager portal
Inclarity SMT portal
Call Centre Client
IP Handset (where supported)
Stretto Soft Phone (Internal/Enterprise contacts only)
IMPORTANT: At the point of launch desktop handset behaviour will remain unchanged. Polycom handsets can either use the legacy Inclarity application which exposes all contacts, or the newer Broadsoft Integration which exposes Internal and Private contacts only.
All new handsets launched by Inclarity will have updated firmware that fully integrates this contact information. In addition, later in 2019 all existing Polycom handsets in the field will be updated in the same way.
GDPR STATEMENT: There is no obligation to upload any Personal Data to the Inclarity phone system. Any data volunteered by you or by any colleagues is done so at your own discretion. By loading any such data you understand and agree to the fact that this data will be stored securely on Inclarity servers, and may be viewed for maintenance and technical troubleshooting purposes by any Inclarity personnel.
