Inclarity have been working hard to improve the service of some of our more common faults. We were noticing a lot of faults on our old Polycom server, the registration process and the firmware which was supported. A mass upgrade of firmware on these devices is not simple so we have completely rebuilt the server in question to ensure a better service.
We encourage all Polycom handset users to check their firmware and if they are not using the latest firmware, to follow the below upgrade instructions. Once these steps are complete, the future firmware upgrade rollouts will be much simpler and can take place by a simple reboot of the handset
You can check the firmware version of your handset by performing the following steps:
Polycom IP Range: Menu, Option 2, Option 1, Option 2, Option 1
Polycom VVX Range: Home, Settings, Option 4, Option 1, Option 2, Option 1
The latest current Firmware Version is:
Polycom VVX **1 Range: 5.5.1.15937
Polycom VVX *00 Range: 5.4.0.5841

If your handset does not have these firmware versions, please follow the below instructions. This change can only be done on the handset itself. It's very important to enter the correct username and password as below for the upgrade to take place. They are both case sensitive:

Password Difficulties
If you're having difficulties defining upper and lower case, this can be quite difficult. On the IP range handsets, we would advise to set the case to 'abc' and where an uppercase letter is required, press the up arrow. This should change the letter from lower to uppercase. To change this, press the # key.
For example, pressing the 7 key once will generate a lowercase p. Immediately pressing the up arrow will change this to an upper case P
Alternatively, one of the softkeys on screen will allow you to change between 1->aA. By pressing the softkey, it will scroll through the differing entry methods. The character on the left hand side of the softkey name is the active character. So a->1A will generate a lower case character and 1->aA will generate a number.
